Bennett Orchards offers 18 different varieties of tree-ripened peaches and nectarines, with the harvest usually beginning in early July and continuing through the end of August. Popular varieties such as the "Blushing Star" white peach, the "Fantasia" nectarine and the "Loring" yellow peach are some of the mouth-watering treats featured by Bennett Orchards. Chapel’s Country Creamery offers Maryland artisanal cheeses that are hand crafted by the owners and an Amish artisanal cheese maker. Chapel cheese starts with fresh raw milk produced on the family farm. Their dairy herd contains grass fed Jersey and Holstein cows that produce our high quality milk, rich in cream. The milk is all natural and contains no synthetic hormones, antibotics, or chemical compounds. They offer cave aged cheddar cheeses, chive and garlic and a blue cheese. Fresh yogurt with honey is also available this year. Chesapeake Bay Farms will have fresh butter, ice cream and homemade truffles. All of their products are made from the milk from their dairy and contains no added hormones or preservatives. Cleckner's will have fresh natural free-range eggs and whole natural chickens. Taste the difference! Community Organics produces a wide variety of vegetables, most of which are heirloom and open-pollinated varieties. The vegetables they offer include tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, green onions, carrots, beets, a variety of greens, broccoli, summer and winter squashes, cantaloupe, cucumbers, string beans, potatoes and herbs. They are committed to organic principles and are Certified Naturally Grown, a national program in which member farmers hold each other accountable for the integrity of their growing practices. Davidson Exotic Mushrooms is straight from the Kennett Square, the mushroom capital of the US! They offer fresh portabella, cremini, shitake and oyster mushrooms. Lima beans, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli and brussel sprouts will be available in late summer and early fall. Fifer Orchards since 1919, the Fifers have worked the land near Wyoming, Delaware. This week, Late season peaches and nectarines, Several varieties of apples: Gala, Ginger Gold, Honeycrisp, Rambo, Jonathan, and Sansa, Heirloom Tomatoes, Variety of veggies like Lima Beans, Green Beans, Squash, and Cucumbers, Local Honey from our Beekeeper, Fresh-Cut Flowers and Apple Cider Donuts. Fischers’ Farm will bring Asian pears, Winter Banana, Golden Supreme, and Early Mac apples . They will also offer herbs and cut flowers. Fresh, sweet strawberries will be available on the markets opening day. Greenbranch Farm after a year hiatus from the market, Greenbranch returns offering organic vegetables and smoked pork items including sausage and ham. Hobo's will offer freshly prepared organic salads and wraps. Great for having a picnic at the market or to take home for a lovely summer meal. Kalmar Farms located in Harrington grows almost all seasonal vegetables including a late fall harvest of squashes and greens. Kettle Korn Just for fun! Tuckey's Mountain Grown is located near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and will be offering strawberries, black raspberries, red raspberries, peaches, nectarines, apricots and apples. They will have a large quantity of vegetables on hand including tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, radishes, onions, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, eggplant, lettuce and summer squash. Mid-summer will bring cut flowers including dahlias, zinnias and sunflowers. Turning Pointe Farm offers custom Christmas wreaths. You pick out the ribbon and decorations and your wreath will be waiting for you at the special Christmas Market held the first week of December.
